Specializing in the fine art of reuse, Seagreen Gallery occupies a beloved Outer Banks landmark (the original Gray's department store, c. 1946) that has been given a new life. It's filled to its rustic rafters with whimsical, original and creative items, such as signs made from assembled license plate letters (they do custom), Mason jar lamps, maps, mirrors and birdhouses made from tumbled vintage glass and pottery, glass fishing floats, candles, locally made artworks of all types and repurposed and antique furniture. There's also a wide selection of sea glass and other interesting jewelry, along with a variety of rocks, minerals, crystals and natural items like porcupine quills and oyster shell decorations. Seagreen is a favorite for an unusual gift or home touch.They open daily at 10 a.m. Be sure to step out back to see the large working garden and garden art.
