Pier House Restaurant at Nags Head Fishing Pier is a favorite location for an oceanfront meal, and it's especially popular at breakfast. You can sit inside in the cozy old-school restaurant or out on the famous enclosed porch (now air-conditioned) that's perched right over the beach and offers amazing views of the ocean waves and all the beachgoers. In either area you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner selections. The breakfast menu includes all the traditional favorites like eggs, grits, meats, French toast and pancakes, plus a few surprises (fish roe and cream chipped beef). Lunch and dinner selections include fresh steamed seafood, fried seafood sandwiches, salads, seafood platters and London broil served up with optional sides such as cole slaw, hush puppies and fries. They'll even cook your own catch if you like. The Pier House is open daily April through November with dinner served through mid-October.
The owners of the Pier House Restaurant made a great thing even better when they added a third seating area outside on the pier deck. They call it Captain Andy's Oceanfront Tiki Bar & Grill, and it offers full service for drinks and casual food and features live entertainment during the summer. Colorful tables and friendly service make this a great way to enjoy this oceanfront atmosphere. Captain Andy's has a full bar that serves cocktails, wine and a large selection of beer.
