Geno and Jared over at the Lost Colony Tavern in Manteo are starting their Second Annual Saint Patrick’s Celebration with a FULL month of all things Irish. Every Saturday in March they have a live Irish band The O’Brothers. Irish cuisine dominates the menu. T-shirts and the wearing of green for the whole month of March. Let’s not forget the beer. Geno has reminded us he is pouring Guinness Harp and Smithwick’s not just in March but all year long. However...I think Geno may have started celebrating early for he forgot to mention that he is ALSO pouring the freshest Irish ales in the state made locally with imported Irish Ingredients and Dublin/ Cork water. In his defense, he may have forgotten the name of said brewery. It starts with the same ten letters of his Tavern and ends in Brewery. The Lost Colony Tavern knocked it out of the park last year with The Festival of St Patrick. In 2024 it will only get bigger and better. ( A couple of notes; This is at the Lost Colony Tavern in Manteo, the cool St Paddy's shirt is only available at the Lost Colony Tavern not Lost Colony Brewery's Waterfront Beer Garden. They will go fast so buy early, buy often)

We have some beer releases coming soon. First that Scotch ale we talked about. It is ready, but I thought it would be cool to have some haggis on hand for the release. I also want to do a taste comparison to the original peated scotch. So while I wait for the haggis you wait for the beer. Anticipation. Soon real Soon. The porter is in the fermenter but, Steven, the brewmaster, noticed all our casks sitting in the corner. Sometime this weekend I will Cask up some porter and let it finish naturally. Then we will serve it on the traditional Hand Pump Beer Engine.
