Black Pelican Oceanfront Restaurant in Kitty Hawk, NC
The Black Pelican is one of the premier oceanfront restaurants on the Outer Banks serving up great local cuisine and panoramic ocean views of Kitty Hawk beaches from our dining rooms and outdoor deck. Constructed in 1874, our building was used as a United States Lifesaving Station, which complements Black Pelican's rustic charm and passion for serving up the freshest local seafood.
Black Pelican is open for lunch and dinner year-round, and is only closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Their menu includes fresh seafood, steaks, vegetarian dishes, sandwiches and pizzas made in their wood oven, as well as a special menu for children. Their dining rooms can accommodate parties anywhere from two to 22 people. Black Pelican welcomes private parties depending on their availability, and their catering services for weddings and other special events.
