May Day -- Anglers are catching BLUEFISH. A sunny May Day. SW winds at 12 knots and the sea temperature is 58 degrees. High tides 11:03 a.m. and 11:27 p.m. Low tide 5:06 p.m. Several students from Burns Middle School enjoyed bottom fishing during an educational program yesterday afternoon.

Bluefish Bite -- Hundreds of birds flyover top of schools of bluefish this morning on south side of the pier.

Moderate Breeze -- So far, BLUEFISH! NE winds at 11 knots are rolling in. Small, crumbling surf. High tides 8:22 a.m. and 8:44 p.m. Low tide 2:25 p.m. We switch to our summer season hours of operation, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., beginning this Saturday, May 3.
